Vic: Wife and brother of murder victim had affair, court told
A Melbourne court's been told that the death of a man became a murder investigationwhen police learnt of an affair between his wife and his brother.
WADIE SAAD was found dead in his burnt-out car in February 2001 near Sunshine Hospitalin Melbourne's west.
Thirty-seven-year-old MARY SAAD and her 35-year-old brother-in-law, HANY SAAD, areaccused of drugging WADIE SAAD with sedatives before setting him and his car alight.
Detective Senior Sergeant CHARLIE BEZZINA told the Melbourne Magistrates Court he berganinvestigating the case as a homicide after police discovered MARY SAAD was pregnasnt byher husband's brother.
The committal hearing in Melbourne Magistrates Court is continuing before magistrate BARRY BRAUN.
