TSA nominee urges greater adoption of Israeli model for airport security Airport security in the U.S. should move closer to the Israeli model, with its emphasis on behavioral detection to avert terrorism, Robert Harding said Tuesday during confirmation hearings for his nomination to head the TSA. Harding told the Senate Commerce Committee that TSA's 2,000 behavior detection officers need more training and "more engagement with passengers" in order to enhance the layered security approach favored by experts.
