POLICE CAPTAIN TAKES STAND IN ZWACK TRIAL.(CAPITAL REGION)

A Troy police captain who sat in on a 1996 meeting during which the fate of a Rensselaer County 911 call-taker was discussed testified Monday it was Susan Martin, not Henry Zwack, who demanded the man be fired.

Captain Paul Bouchard's testimony in the perjury trial of the former county executive addressed two of eight counts Zwack faces in which he is accused of denying in sworn statements that he ever knew former 911 worker David Beaudoin and that he hadn't personally fired him.

Beaudoin came under fire over an emergency call he took in October 1996 related to a Hoosick car crash in which several teenagers …
