Fed: Most Australian workers unhappy with their bosses, survey
A survey shows more than three-quarters of Australian workers are dissatisfied with their bosses.
The study by management consultants Dattner Grant is based on interviews over fouryears with more than 1,800 business leaders, managers and staff from companies of allsizes.
Seventy-six per cent of those surveyed identified leadership as a key weakness in theirorganisations.
Sixty-six per cent said their companies lacked vision, and almost half said their workplacelacked purpose and values and that leaders communicated poorly with staff.
Dattner Grant partner FABIAN DATTNER says the clear message is that people in mostorganisations are overwhelmed by the extent and degree of change, and there's an issueabout who's actually in control of the change.
She says those interviewed felt leaders focussed more on systems and processes, strategiesand tactics than on how changes affected staff.
