Vic: Pack of youths attack teens with bottles

MELBOURNE, Dec 19 AAP - A pack of boys attacked two other teenagers with bottles during
a robbery in Melbourne last night.

Two 17-year-old boys were sitting in a park off Osborne Street, South Yarra, about
10.30pm (AEDT) with two girls when they were approached by a group of between six and
eight teenage boys.

The group demanded the four hand over what they were carrying and threatened the victims
with bottles, a police spokesman said.

The two 17-year-old boys were hit over the head with bottles and suffered minor injuries.

The spokesman said the pack of boys stole mobile phones and the girls' handbags before
fleeing towards Punt Road.

The attacked were described as aged between 15 and 18 and were wearing hooded tops and jeans.
