And the award goes to: Cheryl Benton, partner and managing director of Internet services for Mezzina, Brown & Partners in New York, displays the G.D. Crain Award she received from the Business Marketing Association (BMA) in recognition of her service to the advertising and marketing industry. Robert F. Lauterborn, professor of advertising at the University of North Carolina and long-time BMA member, presented the award at the BMA's annual conference June 9 in Charlotte, N.C.
Also at the conference, Joyia Clayton, state liaison for the Literacy Volunteers of America (LVA), accepts a $3,000 check from Lauterborn. The BMA has pledged ongoing support to LVA and encourages members to get involved in regional literacy campaigns nationwide.
Advertisers take L.A.: The Association of Asian American Advertising Agencies held its two-day Annual Summer Conference June 2-3 at the New Otani Hotel & Garden in Los Angeles.
