Fed: Govt thanks Switkowski for role as Telstra CEO
The federal government has thanked outgoing Telstra chief executive ZIGGY SWITKOWSKI
for his work as head of Australia's largest telecommunications company.
After much speculation, Telstra's announced that Dr SWITKOWSKI will step down in 2005,
two years before his contract ends.
Communications Minister HELEN COONAN and Finance Minister NICK MINCHIN say Dr SWITKOWSKI
managed a large and complex company through some challenging times.
