NSW: Flight delays at Sydney Airport: Airlines
Domestic flights into Sydney Airport are being delayed for up to one hour .. and airlines
say they're not being told why.
Airservices Australia says it's aware of the situation .. but has yet to confirm the
reason for the delays.
Qantas says domestic flights are being delayed by up to 30 minutes .. while Virgin
Blue's experiencing delays of up to one hour.
About 20 planes are being held on the ground or told to remain in holding patterns
above the airport.
A Sydney Airport spokeswoman has declined to comment .. saying the issue sits with
ASA .. which is charge of air traffic control.
