NSW: Loophole closed in speed camera "test case"
The New South Wales Court of Criminal Appeal has closed a potential legal loophole
.. by rejecting a challenge to the validity of evidence collected by speed cameras.
In what he's called a test case .. Chief Justice JIM SPIGELMAN has upheld an appeal
lodged by the RTA .. against a District Court decision which cleared a motorist photographed
by a speed camera in 2005.
DAVID BALDOCK was photographed travelling at 93 kilometres an hour in an 80 kilometre
an hour zone of the M5 .. at Bardwell Park in Sydney .. in June 2005.
